Safety while playing Splashin
Splashin was built with safety in mind. Senior Assassin, a long-standing high school tradition since the 1980s, has often lacked structure. Each year players had to reinvent the rules, safety, and gameplay management. Splashin changes this by empowering schools, administrators, and players with tools and sensible, baseline rules to help organize safe and responsible gameplay.
Especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we believe that it is more important than ever for kids and adults to have enjoyable ways to connect in real life again. Our aim with Splashin is to take the already popular game of Senior Assassin and empower schools, families, and players with the tools they need to play safely and responsibly.
Schools and Beyond
Since launch, the response has been incredible! Now, teachers, administrators, police officers, firefighters, and even military units have joined in by playing their own games while helping manage their students'.
With Splashin, schools have the ability to create games, manage players, and enforce rules and safety standards. These tools have allowed schools and parents to engage with their students - enabling them to play safely and responsibly.

This app is such a smart and creative solution to a problem seniors around the country face in the spring! I ended up being tasked with organizing my school’s senior [Splashin], and this app not only allowed me to play as well as run it but also created a cohesive and compact environment where aspects of the game could be run. It is a great tool, and I am so glad my school gets to use it.

Guidelines
Splashin has community guidelines and rules to highlight safe gameplay practices. These guidelines are designed to help players understand what is expected of them while playing the game.
Each player must agree to the guidelines before they can play. The guidelines cover topics such as respecting private property, using clearly recognizable toys, and being respectful of their communities. These guidelines can easily be enforced, first, by designated admins who have the ability to remove players who violate the rules. Splashin will also take action against players or schools who violate these guidelines.

Location Privacy
Unlike traditional methods of playing with apps like Life360, Splashin allows you to limit location visibility only to those who truly need it or disable it entirely.
With the rules of Senior Assassin, you typically don't know who is targeting you. Splashin alerts you any time new players join the game. This way, you can make sure you are only sharing your location with those you trust.
School administrators or designated player admins can disable the map functionality whenever they choose for events like school dances, during school hours, or at night.
Personal Safe Zones
Personal Safe Zones allow players to designate a location where they’ll be hidden from the map. This optional feature is designed to allow game organizers even more control over player privacy and location sharing. (Feature scheduled for April 21st)
Drive Detection
Splashin has a built in drive detection functionality that will automatically stop users when they may be in a moving vehicle. This feature is designed to prevent players from playing while driving.
Admin Features
A game can have as many admins as needed. For example, a school might have a teacher or administrator as the main admin, with trusted students to help manage the game.
